What Does "Ramnes" Mean?

TRIBE (Latin, tribus, from tres,  three) a word which is believed to have originally meant a "third part" of the people, in reference to the three patrician orders or political divisions of the people of Ancient Rome - the Ramnes, Tities, and Luceres; representing the Latin, Sabine and Etruscan settlements.

The Ramnes (a name later changed to "Romans") were the equites, or noble knight class, although the word was also used a synonym for blue-blood or aristocracy.  They were considered the direct descendants of Romulus, founder of Rome, who was raised by a wolf.
